Were you one of the viewers wondering why Lucy, Rafe's cousin wasn't present at his deathbed? According to  Soap Opera Digest , head writer Ron Carlivati said "there was so much story going on at the hospital, with Molly and Rafe, with Alice [that it] just became too big and too complicated." Ed. note: I understand, far more important that we have TJ and Nina in there instead of Lucy. To read the rest of Carlivati's statement go to  soapoperadigest.com Here's what's coming up on General Hospital:

We've been wondering when it was going to happen and now General Hospital is bringing Morgan home from military school. The character has been recast. Actor Bryan Craig (pictured left) will now inhabit the role. Though no air date has been announced  Soap Opera Digest   states that the actor has already begun taping.  With an already full canvas, it will be interesting to see how GH plans to incorporate this character. Wouldn't it be a strange twist if they pair him with Kristen Alderson's yet-to-be-named character when she returns to the show?  Whatever GH plans to do with him the actor seems excited about his new job. He sent the following tweet out earlier this week:

For a while now we have all been expecting that Roger Howarth (Todd, GH), Michael Easton (John, GH), and Kristen Alderson (Starr, GH) would soon be exiting GH due to legal entanglements between ABC and Prospect Park. That has now been confirmed. While disappointing for some, including myself, who thought their characters integrated into GH quite nicely, the news gets worse. According to  Soap Opera Digest , Prospect Park will most likely recast the roles of Todd, Star, and John, allowing Howarth, Easton, and Alderson to come back to GH at some point, but as different characters.  Personally, I don't foresee any situation where this could work out to anyone's advantage, least of all the viewers. Let's just hope the writers of both shows can come up with a creative and engaging solution to this casting mess, no matter how it works out.  Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson have released statements to their fans via facebook and twitter:  -continu...

Soap Opera Digest   is reporting casting news for both GH and the new AMC. AMC is looking to recast the part of Cassandra, previously played by YaYa DaCosta. GH is looking to cast for an entirely new role (big surprise), a male hospital intern. Both of this roles will be contract, so we will most likely be seeing a lot of them.
