Y&R Alum Tammin Sursok (Colleen) announced on her Instagram account today that because of her recent Indiegogo campaign and a new corporate sponsor she can now begin production on her web series Aussie Girl, which is loosely based on her life as an actress. No word yet on when she expects the show to be finished or who will be starring alongside her. For now, check out her full statement below and keep checking back here for updates!

Paula's Pick: L.A. Macabre

For several months now I have been communicating with a lovely young actress on twitter named Kacy Tiller. She recently told me about this web series called L.A. Macabre   and I finally got a chance to sit down and watch it. As you know I watch a lot of shows on television and the web and I have to tell you this is the most innovative show I have seen on either medium in a while. L.A. Macabre is where reality and fiction collide in a smart, savvy, heart racing docu-style series. It brings notorious real-life crime stories from Los Angeles to the forefront of people's minds by spinning fictional tales that are eerily similar. You may recall this is the Hulu original series starring soap opera faves Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy, B&B) and Jordi Vilasuso (Tony, GL; Griffin, AMC). South Beach is dark, gritty, sexy, and every bit a soap opera. It's like General Hospital on steroids, crossed with Empire, with elements of every primetime crime drama mixed in for good measure.  Vilasuso is very convincing in his role as ruthless mobster Isaac Santero, claiming his territory on South Beach. Sweet, gentle, good-hearted Tony he is not. As you might imagine, a storyline like this includes violence; but perhaps the most violent aspect of this show is what the audience doesn't really see. The prospect of a serial killer is introduced almost immediately and it looks like one of the main characters has already become a victim.  Jacqueline MacInnes Wood plays Samantha Lear, the daughter of a record executive, who hooks up with one of he
