Veteran soap actor Sean Kanan is launching a new web series this week called "Studio City." The show, which is described as 'a love letter to soaps' brings together many of daytime's brightest, including Tristan Rogers, Sarah Brown, Patrika Darbo, and Carolyn Hennessy. The entire first season of "Studio City" will begin streaming on Amazon Prime December 20th. On a side note, I will be chatting with Sean tomorrow on my show Paula's Soapbox LIVE at 6|5c 3pm PST .   The interview will stream directly on  YouTube and will be available to watch in its entirety following the LIVE broadcast.

Trent Dawson's "The Six" Headed to the Festival Circuit

If you have been following this blog for a while you may recall that last August I chatted with As the World Turns Alum Trent Dawson (Henry) about the film he was working on called The Six . The film, which is based off of his play The F, has now been completed and is headed to the festival circuit. Donations for The Six are still being accepted, which will help bring the film to the big screen. To learn more about The Six and to see the film's trailer visit the website at  https://trentdawson325.wixsite.com/thesix . A facebook page has also been set up for the film at https://www.facebook.com/trentdawson325/  so be sure to give it a like. You can make a donation through the film's Go Fund Me at  https://www.gofundme.com/supportTheF Check out last year's interview with Trent below:

Interview: Catching Up with Nashville's Riley Smith

Even if you haven't heard the name Riley Smith you have undoubtedly seen him. Smith is a multi-talented performer who has been in everything from Disney's Motocrossed to *ABC's Nashville and can currently be seen in the Fox series Proven Innocent. When he's not acting, Smith is hard at work building a promising music career. I recently had the chance to talk with him about this and how working on the show Nashville impacted this new path: You have a very ambitious plan of releasing a new song and video every month in 2019. What made you decide to do this?  It has been ambitious and a lot more work than I anticipated. The idea stemmed from people's attention span in this day and age. I wanted each song to be new, fresh, and have a chance to get the attention it deserves - instead of having to pick one single off an album, why not treat each song like a single? Because they are. They are their own song, their own story and they deserve their own attention.
