Secret Summer: GH

On Thursday's General Hospital Michael prepared to get Kristina home safely by pawning a watch from an obnoxious customer so that he could buy her a plane ticket. Kristina had decided to go home the day before after she tried to contact Kiefer, who was supposedly with another girl. When Kiefer's cell phone rang he had a girl to answer. And even though this girl was apparently not the same one that Kristina thought he was with, Kiefer's stunt was still effective, and was ultimately the driving force behind Kristina's decision to go home. My question is did Kiefer know that Kristina was the one calling him, and if so, how? I am also having difficulty understanding why Kristina has all of a sudden decided that it is safe for her to go home considering that she still believes she was the one that ran Claudia off the road. Does she think that the investigation has just been dropped? And if Michael knows that there is a possibility that he is not the one who ran Claudia off the road, why isn't he returning home to support Kristina? All these questions were left unanswered even as Michael and Kristina's plan unfolded. They had a bit of a setback though when the aforementioned customer discovered that his watch was missing. He accused Michael of stealing it which led to an argument, resulting in Michael getting punched.

Meanwhile in Port Charles, Kiefer was continuing to ask questions about Kristina. He approached Sonny and Carly at the country club to ask them if they had heard from her, giving Sonny the opportunity to warn him against any involvement with Michael or Kristina. Then Kiefer, apparently having a death wish, proceeded to question Molly and Morgan about Kristina's whereabouts. Carly caught him talking to them and threatened to tell Sonny about him pushing Morgan around on the pier if he did not stay away from them. Obviously this is the least of what Kiefer has done to Sonny's kids lately, considering the way he hit Kristina a few months ago. I would hate to be in Kiefer's shoes when Sonny finds out that piece of information.

Elsewhere Jax was busy adding to the list of things he is keeping from Carly. He told Spinelli that he knew that he had been able to pinpoint Michael and Kristina's location and was only keeping it from everyone so that Sonny would not make matters worse for the teens. He then convinced Spinelli to only let him know where they were so he could find them himself, without Carly's knowledge. I know Jax keeps saying that he is only keeping secrets from Carly because of her high risk pregnancy, but at some point he has to realize that the stress of not knowing vital information about her son is worse than anything he could tell her.

All About Mia: DOOL

After months of allowing herself to be deceived and manipulated by Nicole and Stefano so that she could keep her baby's adoption intact, only to find out that said baby wasn't hers because her baby had died, one would think that Mia would have enough drama to last a lifetime. Instead it seems that she has picked up a few bad habits from Nicole because she has turned to manipulating Gabi in order to stake her claim on Chad, someone she didn't seem to want a few weeks ago. As if the Mia character wasn't irritating enough already, this newly calculative Mia is actually making me feel sorry for Gabi, which only makes her that much more irritating. I was stunned that she used Nicole's hearing as an opportunity to drive a wedge between Chad and Gabi, the same hearing that they were discussing her baby's death and the kidnapping of Will's baby sister. In doing this she not only undermined Will's importance in her life, but Sydney and Grace's as well...and p

Bad Goodbye: GH

Words cannot express how much I hate the way GH is writing Steve Burton out of the show. I realize his leaving sort of came as a surprise, but in my opinion they could have given him a better send off than the one he is getting. It feels extremely rushed and quite frankly a little convoluted. First of all we have Bernie with his sudden hand-wringing over something that supposedly happened almost a year ago; and he just has to meet Jason on the night he finally reunites with Sam...on the pier no less.  And don't even get me started on how Joe Scully and "Duke Lavery" are involved in all of this. Up until a few months ago Joe was an antiques dealer working in a little known shop that probably wasn't even being used as a front. In addition there is no way Jason would ever allow himself to be shot in the back. He would have looked around the pier to make sure he wasn't walking into an ambush before ever trying to talk to Bernie. However the most upsetting thing about
