Spixie in Crimson: GH

After watching Tuesday's General Hospital it seems that Maxie may have to marry Spinelli whether she wants to or not. It was obvious that she accepted his proposal because Mac forbid her to do it, but when Lulu told Kate about the engagement she insisted on marketing the Spixie wedding for Crimson. Speaking of Kate, what a waste of talent it is to have Megan Ward only appear on the show once every few months or so. I am amazed that they could not find a storyline to place her in that keeps her on screen more than that. I remember watching her on Season 1 of Party of Five and thinking that they should have extended her storyline rather than killing her off. Perhaps she and Johnny will pair up once Olivia gives in to Sonny's advances. Wouldn't that make for an awkward work environment at Crimson?

  1. AMEN Love it!!!! I wish you were the head writer for GH instead of the nutjob they got right now! Seriously soaps are dying! Get a clue! Get new writers.. or bring back the scab writers.. GH was awesome during the strike!

  2. Hi Kimmie!

Thanks for commenting and for the compliment! I don't remember much about GH during the strike, but I do know that the writing before the strike was better than it is now. It seems like even the dialogue is being recycled from one day to the next.

Could Guiding Light Alum Stephanie Gatschet Be Looking to Return to Daytime?

I stumbled upon something interesting while scrolling through Instagram last night. It was a comment posted in response to a General Hospital video. The video was reposted by actress Laura Wright (Carly, GH; ex-Cassie,GL). The response came from actress Stephanie Gatschet.

You may recall that in addition to playing Madison North on All My Children, Gatschet played Cassie's daughter, Tammy, on Guiding Light.

Gatschet's comment to Wright was "I miss creating melodrama...keep an eye out for a good role for little ol' me. I wanna play!"  (Check out the screenshot below)

So could Gatschet be eyeing a return to daytime? How cool would it be to see her starring opposite Laura Wright again?

Gatschet most recently starred in the web series Misguided.

Soap Faves Kassie DePaiva and Nathan Purdee Star in New Film Killian & the Comeback Kids

Kassie DePaiva (Blair, OLTL; Eve, DOOL) and Nathan Purdee (ex-Nathan Hastings, Y&R) are starring in a new film called Killian and the Comeback Kids, which was written and directed by Purdee's son Taylor.

The film, about a man who forms a band with locals from his hometown in order to play at a huge music festival, has already been shot. However, an Indiegogo campaign has been launched to help pay for post-production costs.

There are only 3 days left in the campaign with plenty of perks still up for grabs. For example a $150 donation will get you a personal phone call from Kassie DePaiva! Other perks include: social media shoutouts from cast members, signed behind the scenes photos, signed instruments, & much more!
