He's Back: GH

After watching Thursday's General Hospital, it seems as though danger will be lurking in every corner once the carnival begins. Obviously Andrea is going to poison Edward causing him to go into cardiac arrest and lose control of his car at the carnival. This incident presents the first danger to the citizens of Port Charles, but the real danger is likely to come from Anthony Zacchara who revealed to a "mystery" man his intentions to use the carnival to fulfill a sinister plan. Could this mystery man be Trevor Lansing, who perhaps faked his own death?

As much as I hate to admit it I am glad that GH is doing something else with the carnival event aside from Edward's car accident. The way this storyline has been promoted I knew there had to be more to the danger at the carnival than Edward having a heart attack and losing control of his car. Not that Edward's accident wouldn't be bad enough, it just doesn't make for very intriguing soap opera material. For a big event, especially a big GH event, which they always do so well, there really has to be a villain like Anthony Zacchara involved. I have to wonder though if the hospital parking lot is the best place to hold a carnival. This just seems hazardous to me somehow, but maybe that is the whole point.

  1. I really hope Edward Quartermaine doesn't die. I love ther actor who portrays him as well as his feisty character. I thought it was mistake to kill off Alan Quartermaine.

  2. Hi Paula! I hope they don't kill off Edward either. And it was a mistake to kill off Alan. Granted it was funny for a while to see Tracy talk to herself, but that storyline only went so far. Consequently "Alan" is supposed to be joining the cast of ATWT.

All About Mia: DOOL

After months of allowing herself to be deceived and manipulated by Nicole and Stefano so that she could keep her baby's adoption intact, only to find out that said baby wasn't hers because her baby had died, one would think that Mia would have enough drama to last a lifetime. Instead it seems that she has picked up a few bad habits from Nicole because she has turned to manipulating Gabi in order to stake her claim on Chad, someone she didn't seem to want a few weeks ago. As if the Mia character wasn't irritating enough already, this newly calculative Mia is actually making me feel sorry for Gabi, which only makes her that much more irritating. I was stunned that she used Nicole's hearing as an opportunity to drive a wedge between Chad and Gabi, the same hearing that they were discussing her baby's death and the kidnapping of Will's baby sister. In doing this she not only undermined Will's importance in her life, but Sydney and Grace's as well...and p

10 Ways General Hospital Could Improve

I doubt if I'm alone in saying that there is a lot wrong with General Hospital these days. While it continues to be one of my favorite soaps there are many changes I would make immediately if I had the power. Below is a list of the top ten suggestions I have for the way the show could improve. 1. The Claire/Sonny storyline needs to be dropped. It isn't working. Their conversations are boring and the context of their relationship is, well...icky. 2. Amp up Lisa's craziness. Despite my earlier distaste for a Robin/Patrick/Lisa triangle, the obsessed ex-girlfriend angle is working. It's interesting and very soapy. 3. Ronnie needs to be established as either a cop with a chip on his shoulder or someone who works for Franco. So far I haven't been able to tell whether Ronnie falls more on the side of good or bad because this character hasn't been clearly defined. 4. Brenda's life away from Port Charles and the people that surround it need to become an int
